Anything really... knives, bayonets, shrapnel, uniforms, and I own a WWII Jeep and a Ford F8 Wireless Truck

History of Hobby - When and where did you start and how did you arrive where you are to-day?

How long have you been involved with War & Peace and in what capacity?

I started collecting militaria when I was very young, gathering bullets, shrapnel and bits of crashed aircraft, and then later knives, bayonets, air-guns and uniforms. I had a spell in the Army, playing with the real thing, which I really enjoyed, and it was there that I fell in love with the WWII Jeep - especially as we had six as runabouts!! I now own my own and a Ford F8 Wireless Truck.

I joined the IMPS after a visit to Biggin Hill, which was my first Beltring show (near the beginning of time...!. Ed.) and I have been a keen supporter of the show ever since. I like to do Gate Duty as I get to meet and greet members of the public and talk to them on their way in, checking vehicle passes and generally Keep 'Em Rolling! It also has the added advantage of keeping me away from people looking for volunteers to do hard manual labour...(!!)
