Saving Private Ryan reenactors, a Panzer IV, German Half-track and a Schwimmwagen all entertained the crowds on Friday. Steve Shirley's team from the Manston Fire Museum entertained the crowds later by exploding a car and setting it alight, in order to demonstrate how their fire crew deal with aircraft fires. They also kindly provide us with on site emergency fire crew support throughout the show.

The arena events were spectacular on the Friday; plenty of enthusiasts turned out to re-enact "Saving Private Ryan"
All the arena re-enactments were choreographed by Jim Dowdall, who has been the stunt coordinator for various well known films, from the "Indiana Jones" movies to "Saving Private Ryan" and "Captain Corelli's Mandolin". Jim really knows his stuff; he should do, having been the person who was actually driving the tank in that amazing scene in the "Goldeneye" James Bond movie...! For more re-enactment photos, see Sunday's pictures...
