around the block to join the event in the arena...

Saturday afternoon
was also an opportunity to see another of the 1940s fashion shows...

Modelling uniforms to civilian wear, day dresses to evening gowns and dinner suits, the models even walked through the audience so that we could all get a closer look. With authentic period dress supplied by some of the stallholders, and 1940s style clothes made especially for the occasion, it was another excellent show... |

When the explosions
in the arena and the jive music in the Miller Tent became a little too
much, people flocked to the Modellers' marquee, sponsored by "Military
Modelling" magazine, to marvel at the miniature masterpieces...
